The Position:  Operations Manager

Responsibilities:
  • overall financial success and growth of the North American practice management product portfolio 
  • provides strategic direction and managerial oversight of the Vetstreet teams
  • growth and diversification according to the Company’s overall strategic direction
  • defines long-term strategic direction and monitors overall corporate results
  • develops and executes business plans and related budgets for core business and growth initiatives
  • reviews performance against operating plans and standards
  • provides feedback to direct reports and corporate on interpretation of results
  • approves or initiates changes in direction of plans.
  • the direction, management, and performance of the facility
  • managing sales, marketing, operations, development, product management, and divisional accounting/financial functions
  • develops and maintains relationships with key business partners, the firm’s Animal Health, Global Animal Health Team, and other key partners and/or acquisitions.
Specific Roles:
  • To drive the vision, advance strategic objectives and execute tactical plans to achieve above market growth in an entrepreneurial environment. 
  • This is a “hands-on” leadership role which will be responsible for the staff and operations in the North American market.
  • To strategically direct the product development, and sales and operations of our Client’s North American Animal Health Practice Solutions (NAAHPS) business to ensure continuous market share growth, and to build on the commercial success of the current business models.
  • Establish and develop marketing and product portfolio strategy in conjunction with the Global AHPS team in respect of new lines of revenue, product and offerings.  To work with GAHPS in assessing potential new solution partnerships and acquisition targets.
  • Develop strategy and maximize delivery and revenue opportunities for value added products.
  • Manage the operations and customer service groups, including support, new & existing site training, upgrades and delivery of existing customer revenues.
  • Introduce reporting and innovation such that our Client can provide evidence of improvements to the customers experience. 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction maintained to agreed levels. Action and resolve customer complaints related to Installation/Training in a timely manner. 
  • Resolve other escalated customer complaints.
  • Drive revenues and seek efficiency such that we increase our financial performance.
  • Improve our ability to serve the North American Animal Health market through careful integration of key functions and roles.
  • Plan and execute direction for internal system implementations such as Microsoft AX and Microsoft CRM. 
  • Oversee IT security, compliance, and efficiency within internal IT systems (infrastructure, network, phones, etc.). 
  • Coordinates with corporate and regional resources as needed.
  • Establish and monitor performance, mentor and develop team through establishment of specific and achievable goals and priorities.
  • Coordinate day to day efforts of general management, development of strategy, execution of strategy, and act as a lead for joint efforts.
  • Work with our Client’s Animal Health (HSAH) team to identify new ways to provide enhanced combined solution offerings aimed at improving the performance of our customer’s practices.
  • Attend regional and national industry events and networking opportunities to maximize company exposure and client relationship opportunities.
  • Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the division.
  • Frequent travel.
Experience: 
  • Minimum 10+ year’s products experience
  • 3-5 years in P&L management
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card)
  • Strong technical acumen preferred
  • Requires strong managerial, financial, and operational analysis background and experience.
  • Excellent public speaking and motivational skills are a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, finance, or marketing are preferred.
